do i have a lil jem for you! - think Patsy Cline infused with the spunk of June Carter-Cash with a taste of 30's charm. "Backed by the legendary Jack White, their debut album (produced by White) was just released via Third Man Records. It's full of old-time country and folk, complete with a Johnny Cash cover and the two sisters' take on "Wabash Cannonball" (npr music). 

Great lyrics, spunky feeling, lots of raw attitude // reminiscent of Zooey Deschanel's vocals of She & Him.

dear gap. 

your new logo is confusing, and hurtful to your brand. revamping a logo to look more"modern" is not cohesive with gap's classic, clean style. you can be more "hip" without being someone you are not. it is clear that the vision of the gap is unknown at this time, but please don't fix something that isn't broken.

in honor of our friend danny's short life, the song of the day will be "danny's song" (covered by tift merritt). hope you are happier in heaven, dan. we will miss you, but never forget you.
